Why a Frame is its own job
A Frame TV Isn’t Just a Thinner TV
An ordinary bracket holds a screen a couple of inches off the wall, and that gap forgives a lot. A Frame has no gap. Everything the gap used to hide — a bracket a few millimetres out, a bulge in the drywall, a cable that had nowhere to go — has to be solved before the TV goes up instead of after.

Flush Means Flush
The slim-fit no-gap bracket puts the panel flat against the wall like a framed print. There’s nowhere to hide a bracket that’s slightly off, so we level it to the wall and shim it until it actually sits flat. That alignment is most of the work, and it’s the part you’d notice every day if we rushed it.

The One Connect Box Has to Live Somewhere
All the ports move off the TV and into a separate box, which is why only one thin cable reaches the screen. That box still needs a home. In a cabinet is fine. In the wall is what most people actually want, and that means an AV back box and a power outlet inside it.

The Wall Decides the Plan
Wood studs, poured concrete, plaster, marble, a finished feature wall — each one changes the anchors, the cable route and whether anything can be recessed at all. We work that out before drilling, not halfway through.

Which Art TVs We Install
Three manufacturers build the same idea slightly differently. The bracket hardware and the port arrangement change; the installation problem — a screen sitting flat with nothing visible behind it — doesn’t.
Samsung Frame TV
The one most people mean. Samsung supplies a slim-fit no-gap mount with most sets, and the ports live in a separate One Connect box connected by a single thin, nearly invisible cable.
If your set came with the Samsung bracket we’ll fit it, once we’ve confirmed the wall can carry the screen. If it didn’t, we bring the right one and tell you why before anything is drilled.
Hisense Canvas TV
Same gallery idea, same flush no-gap mounting, same expectation that the wall behind it is flat and the bracket is dead level.
Send us the model and the screen size with your photos and we’ll confirm the bracket and the cable plan before the appointment rather than working it out in your living room.
LG Gallery TV
The G-series sits flush on its own gallery bracket and is priced on our chart alongside the Frame — from $259.99 up to 65 inches, from $299.99 for 77 inch and larger sets on regular drywall.
Cable management is the difference-maker here too, so it’s worth deciding early whether the run goes inside the wall or into a slim painted channel.
What Frame TV Install Day Looks Like
One visit, start to finish. We work 9:00am to 8:00pm and can usually be with you the next day.

Before anything is drilled
The installer reads the wall first — what it’s made of, what’s behind it, whether it’s flat enough for a no-gap mount — and then settles the height with you. Height is the decision you live with every evening, so we’d rather agree it standing in your room than assume it from the doorway.

The wall gets prepared
If the One Connect box is going into the wall, this is where the AV back box is marked between studs, cut in and fitted with a power outlet. If it’s staying in a cabinet, this is where the cable route is opened up instead.

Bracket, shim, level
The slim-fit bracket goes on real structure, gets shimmed until the panel will sit flat, and then gets levelled properly rather than roughly. On a no-gap mount there is no margin to absorb a mistake, which is exactly why this step takes as long as it does.

Before we leave
The One Connect cable goes in, the screen goes on the bracket, and we check the picture, the sound and art mode with you. Then we clean up after ourselves. That’s part of every job, not a line you get charged for.
The part nobody sees
Where the One Connect Box Goes
The One Connect box is what makes a Frame look the way it does. Every port — HDMI, power, antenna, everything — moves off the back of the panel and into that box, so the only thing reaching the screen is one thin, nearly invisible cable.
It can sit in a cabinet, and that’s a perfectly good answer if you have one. Most people don’t want it visible at all, and that means recessing it into the wall behind or below the TV, inside an AV back box with a power outlet fitted in with it.
Doing it that way keeps the cabling out of sight and out of reach of pets and children, keeps dust off the ports, and leaves nothing sitting on a shelf waiting to be knocked off. It also finishes the look the TV was designed for, which is usually the reason you bought a Frame in the first place.
Recessing the box is an added charge on top of the installation, and on a concrete condo wall it isn’t possible at all — nothing gets cut into a structural wall, so the box goes into a cabinet and a slim painted channel takes the cable instead.

What Size AV Back Box Do You Need?
There are a lot of back boxes on the market and they are not interchangeable. The box has to be big enough for the One Connect box and its cables, small enough to sit between two studs, and positioned so the mounted TV hides it completely. Here’s what we fit, by screen size.

The hardest wall in the house
Can a Frame TV Go Above a Fireplace?
Usually yes — and it’s where a Frame earns its keep, because a screen that shows art most of the day is a much better centrepiece than a black rectangle. But the fireplace wall is also where the most goes wrong, so it’s worth being specific about what we check.
Height beats symmetry
The most common thing we get asked back to correct is a TV mounted too high, because someone centred it on the chimney breast instead of on the people watching it.
We set the height off your seating. If the only position that works visually is a position that’ll give you a sore neck, we’ll say so before drilling rather than after.
Heat and the mantel
The screen goes above the mantel so the shelf takes the rising heat, and we look at how much heat the firebox actually throws and how deep the mantel is before committing to a position.

Marble, stone and tile
Stone surrounds are drilled slowly, with masonry bits and anchors rated to the screen, and there’s no undoing a hole in a marble slab. Nothing gets recessed into stone either, so the One Connect box needs a plan of its own.

Bezel, soundbar, feature wall
The Things Worth Deciding Before We Arrive
The magnetic bezel changes the whole effect, and it changes the measurements too — a bezel adds width and height to the finished object on your wall. If you’re fitting one, tell us at booking so the position accounts for it rather than being corrected afterwards.
A soundbar under a Frame wants to be level with the screen and spaced properly, with its cabling tucked out of sight. Book it on the same visit and it gets planned with the TV instead of squeezed in underneath a bracket that’s already fixed.
And if the TV is going on a finished feature wall — panelling, built-ins, joinery either side of a fireplace — the bracket position and the cable concealment get planned together. Solving one and improvising the other is how a feature wall ends up needing to be opened again.

Which TVs do you install as Frame TVs?

What is the One Connect box and where does it go?

What size AV back box do I need for a Frame TV?
For 32 inch Frame TVs we use a 9x14 inch AV back box with the Mini One Connect box, fitted horizontally towards the bottom of the TV. For 43 and 50 inch sets, a 9x14 inch box with slight modification. For 55 inch and larger, a 17x14 inch back box, which also leaves room for the Slim Fit wall mount.
How big is the Slim One Connect box?
The 2022 Slim One Connect box measures 13 x 11.5 x 1.62 inches, or 33.02 x 29.21 x 4.1 centimetres. It's noticeably slimmer than the model it replaced, which is what makes recessing it into a standard back box practical rather than a project.
Why recess the One Connect box into the wall?
It keeps the cabling out of sight and out of reach of pets and children, keeps dust off the ports, and gives you the flat gallery look the Frame is designed for. It also means there's nothing sitting on a shelf waiting to be knocked off.
Does the wall need a power outlet behind the TV?
The One Connect box has to plug into something, so when we recess the box we fit a power outlet inside the back box with it. That way the power and the One Connect cable both terminate inside the wall and nothing reappears below the screen.
Will there really be no gap behind the TV?
That's the point of the slim-fit no-gap mount, and yes, provided the wall behind it is flat and the bracket is shimmed properly. Frame installs are unforgiving that way: with nothing standing off the wall there's nowhere to hide a bracket that's a few millimetres out, and that alignment is most of the work.
Can a Frame TV go above a fireplace?
Yes, with the screen above the mantel so the shelf takes the rising heat, and the height set off your seating rather than off the mantel. A metal mount above a fireplace starts at $399.99, and marble or stone surrounds we quote on a photo first.
Can you install a Frame TV in a condo with concrete walls?
Yes. Concrete is the most secure fixing there is, but it changes two things: we use a hammer drill and masonry anchors instead of stud fixings, and nothing gets recessed into a structural wall, so the One Connect box goes in a cabinet and a slim painted channel handles the cable. Most buildings also want our insurance certificate on file first, and we send it straight to your property manager.
Can I use the mount that came with the TV?
Samsung supplies a slim-fit no-gap mount with most Frame sets. If yours came with one we'll fit it, once we've checked the wall can carry the screen. If it didn't, or the wall needs something different, we'll bring the right bracket and tell you why before anything is drilled.
