An Older Finish Doesn’t Announce What Is Behind It
The same living room can hide three different answers to what the bracket is going into.
An older finish reads the same whatever is behind it
Plaster and lath, old panelling and layered paint all look similar on the surface, and a scanner reading on plaster can be unreliable. We probe by hand to confirm real structure before choosing an anchor, which keeps the number of test holes down. Two rooms with the same finish can still need two different fixings.
A renovated room can hide blocking where you do not expect it
A wall that has been opened up and closed again does not always match the framing pattern of the rest of the house. We check on site rather than assume a renovated room was rebuilt to the same spacing as the original, and the extra blocking a past renovation left behind can just as easily help the mount as get in its way.
A rural building can mix framed and masonry walls

A masonry-rated fixing does nothing useful in a framed cavity, and an ordinary drywall anchor does nothing at all in solid brick or block, so getting the order right matters more than which material it turns out to be.

An open cavity is the easy case
From $99.99 on regular drywall with an open, wood-framed cavity behind it, low-voltage cable usually runs down inside the wall and comes out at the console rather than trailing across the surface. That is the outcome most people picture when they ask about hiding wires.
What rules the in-wall route out
Added insulation, blocking left over from a past renovation, or masonry behind the finish are the usual culprits. We check the cavity before promising a route we cannot deliver, rather than opening the wall and discovering the answer partway through the job.
A raceway is a different finish, not a downgrade
Where the in-wall route is not available, a slim paintable channel disappears once it is painted to match, and it beats opening a finished wall to chase a cable that plaster or masonry will not give up easily. It is still a tidy result, just a different one.
Mounting a 65-Inch TV or Larger
A screen around 65 inches or bigger goes up easier with a second pair of hands, so we usually ask for a few seconds of help lifting it onto the bracket once the bracket is ready. That keeps the price the same as a smaller screen. Until then, it leans face-in against a wall or lies flat on a blanket, never propped on a corner, which is exactly how a panel that size ends up cracked. Do you install Samsung Frame TVs and hide the One Connect cable?
Yes. We fit the Slim Fit bracket, level the screen against the wall rather than the ceiling, and plan the One Connect cable route before drilling. Depending on the wall, that route can run inside a framed cavity or along a discreet surface channel.
